Our mission

Open beds shouldn't sit empty.

Our founder watched shelter providers operate in short bursts, leaving hundreds of beds vacant for most of the year — while 46,000+ Angelenos slept outside. Together As One was built to fix that. Shelter is our flagship work, but our neighbors need more than a bed — so we've grown to meet them with elder care, daily meals, a community food bank, recovery support, and reentry services.

Our flagship work · Shelter

Dignity-forward care, every day.

From the moment someone walks through our doors, we provide the essentials to stabilize, heal, and move toward lasting housing.

Room & Board

Safe sleeping spaces in fully-permitted facilities with Certificates of Occupancy, fire clearance, and HVAC.

Hot & Cold Meals

One hot meal and one cold meal every day for every guest. Meals are also provided to staff.

Intake via CES

Shelter intake through the Los Angeles Coordinated Entry System so every guest is matched to the right resources.

Case Management

Social workers and case managers support guests along the path toward stable, permanent housing.

Beyond shelter

More ways we show up for our neighbors.

Housing is the foundation — but real stability means meeting people where they are. Our programs extend beyond the shelter door to support elders, families, and Angelenos at every stage of their journey.

Elder care

Dignified support for aging Angelenos

Accessible housing, daily check-ins, and case management for seniors who need more than a bed.

Community food bank

Food AID for South LA

Weekly grocery distribution for families across SPA 6. No appointment, no questions — just food.

Food services

Two meals a day, every day

Hot and cold meals served at every shelter location — for guests, staff, and drop-in community members.

Recovery services

A steady pathway to sobriety

Peer support, structured programming, and referrals to clinical care for guests in recovery from substance use.

Reentry support

Welcoming neighbors coming home

Housing, case management, and job-readiness support for Angelenos returning from incarceration.
